In this article, I have explained how data processing is and what it is, how many types of data processing takes place, and more with some complete information about it. If you are also reluctant to know about it, then by reading this article, you will understand very easily about data processing.


 What is a data processing system ?

To understand a data processing system, you need to know two things, one is data and the other is information. So let's know what is data and information?


What is  Data ?

  A collection of facts is called data. We represent data with characters like numbers, symbols, alphabets, etc. Data can be anything like number, text, video, audio, picture, etc. That is called data.

 

What is Information ?

   The processing form of data is called information. It means two examples, meaning if you are telling someone something or someone is telling us something, then there is a lot of information. Or we are reading something in the newspaper called Bah information.


What is Data Processing ?

 So we have understood data and information, we know what is data processing? An action in which a computer converts data into information is call data processing. Meaning that the process of data becoming useful is called data processing. Data processing is also called raw material because as we cook some vegetables in the house, it becomes edible and it is useful for us only after processing the data.


Stage of data processing system 

 Data processing involves 6 distinct stages. Let's know what these stages are.


 1-Collection

   Data collection is a process in which we collect your interesting information. Meaning that if you question someone and he answers you, then you collect that answer in your mind, this is also a kind of data collection. It is a simple matter that if you get some information from anywhere, then there is a lot of data collection. There are two sources of knowledge collection, primary data, and secondary data.


Primary 

   Primary data is called us which is the first time the data is produced. Meaning that if you are producing any kind of data for the first time, that data is not the same and that you have produced, then it is called primary data.

 

Secondary

     Secondary data is what we call the data that has already been produced. Just like if you do some search on the Internet, you get some data that has already been produced, this kind of data is called secondary data.


2-Preparation

      Data preparation is the collection of data. Meaning if you understand the posture language, once the data is collected, it enters the data in the ready phase. In this phase, the raw data is cleaned and distributed for the following phase of data processing. During the data preparation, the marbled data is checked for any errors. The objective is to eliminate data corruption and create high-quality data.


3-Input

   Data input is the first step in which raw data is taken as useful information. Meaning that the input data that we will have here, the computer starts taking that data in an understandable form here.


4-Processing

  In the previous step, the computer that takes the data from us becomes understandable on its own and processes the flowing data here in its own algorithm and becomes understandable to us. That is, you would know that the computer does not understand our language, it only understands its own language, which is binary language hai composed of 0 and 1. In such a situation, the computer will not understand our language and neither do we understand it, then it understands our language itself and after that, it becomes understandable to us, this is called the data processing stage.


5-Output

  So till now, the computer will make us understandable by taking our input data. So at this stage the computer which would have made the data understandable for us, outputs what we can easily understand, it is called output data.


6-Storage

   So till now, the computer has been able to take our data and make it understandable for us to understand and also give us its output result. So in this stage, the output data is stored and kept, why it is used in case of need, this is called data storage, which is the last stage of data processing.


Method of data processing system 

 Data processing methods are mainly three methods used to process the data these are, manual data processing, mechanical data processing, and electronic data processing. Let us know about this in full detail.


 1-Manual data processing

  Manual data processing involves manually processing data without using any machine or tool to get the required results. This method of data processing is very slow. Manual data processing is also defined as physical pressure and the composition of data. Meaning that in manual data processing, the calculation of data without using any machine or processing is called manual data processing. Just like if we fill a form somewhere, suppose that we are filling up a form in your college, then whatever data we give in that form, when we call that form in college, then we will call that form. If we compute it, let's look at our given data and move it from one place to another manually, so it is done manual data processing. Why no machine was used in calculating the form, checking person and one place to another, then we can call such work manual data processing.


 2-Mechanical data processing

   In mechanical data processing, data is processed through a mechanical device such as data is processed via a typewriter, mechanical printer, or calculator, such data processing is called mechanical data processing. Meaning in mechanical data processing, if we calculate data using a mechanical device, it is called mechanical data processing. Like if we have to calculate some data like how many books we have, how many pens, and how much paper, we can use the calculator to know how much is there, by combining these three, then it is mechanical data. Why do we use a calculator to use a mechanical device to match the computation number of the three, where we call it mechanical data processing.


3-Electronic data processing

  Electronic data processing is a modern technique of processing data, the data that is processed through a computer is called electronic data processing. Why a computer is an electronic device, the data that is processed in a computer is called electronic data processing. With the help of electronic data processing, we can process more or larger data in time. Electronic data processing is used in many places like online transactions, banking, booking, shopping.


Types of data processing systems

 There are a number of types of data processing methods,

 Batch processing

  If a computer performs a series of tasks without any manual intervention, it is called batch processing. This means that it is a computer program in which the instructions of the work going to the computer are already saved as a batch program. This batch of computer programs is directed through another computer program task scheduler to start a task at a given time. A batch process is used to automate a lot of work.


  Real-time processing

  Real-time processing shows by its name that it will do whatever it does in real-time. Meaning if there is work done by it, then it ends that work in real-time itself, it does not do today's work tomorrow, that is to be done now. Just like if we do some searching on the Internet, then the process is done and its result gives us a good view, meaning in real-time we are getting bo information, this is also called real-time processing. Banking is the biggest example of real-time processing, whatever is processed in real-time is in real-time.


  Online processing

  If online processing is named, then we should understand that it is a matter of the internet. The data processing that is done online, we call it online processing. This processing method is a part of the automated processing method. The system facilitates random and rapid input of transactions and usability and demands direct access to database content when needed. It is a method that is directly connected to computers using internet connections and devices. It allows the complete collection of data from one place to another.


 Distributed processing

  If a single autonomous computer is connected and used as a single system then it is called distributed processing. In the distributed process, it is not necessary that all the computers can be connected at one place and can also be connected at different places.


 Multiprocessing

   In multiprocessing processing, two or more independent processors are interconnected like harmonization systems. In this type of system, instructions coming from one or more processors can be processed by different processors at the same time, this is called multiprocessing. It means the implementation of two or more programs participating in the same C.P.U. at once. This type of processing is the most widely used type of data processing. This component is used everywhere and explains the origin of all computing devices dependent on the processor.


 Time-sharing

   Time-Sharing, we can say that can do many tasks at a time, meaning that time sharing is a kind of multitasking program. Its switching is very fast so that the user can interact with each program, without realizing that the system can be shared. Time-sharing enables one to share computer resources for multiple users at the same time. Meaning that point sharing in computing is that the sharing of a computing resource between multiple users at an equivalent time through multi-programming and multi-tasking.


What are data processing system tools?

 Talking about data processing tools, there are many tools, but I have told you about the 5 major tools of 2020.


 Hadoop

  Hadoop software is a very large data framework that allows the transmission of large data sets to a set of computers.


  HPCC

   HPCC is a very big data tool. It provides a single programming language for data processing.


   Storm

    The storm is a very large, independent, and open source big data computing system.

   

   Qubole

     Qubole is a self-managed, self-optimization tool that allows data teams to focus on biometric results.


    Cassandra

      The Cassandra database is widely used today to provide efficient management of large volume data.
